General Policies Please take time to review Day Dreams policies. These are in place for a successful working relationship between you, a valued customer, and Day Dreams.
In House/Location Policies
Fittings, Alterations, Mending, etc. must all have appointments. While Day Dreams will not turn away a drop in, it is appreciated that appointments are made so customers who are present or have appointments are not interrupted or kept waiting.
No Call / No Show Appointments will not be accepted again for an appointment.
If you are 20 minutes late, with no call, your appointment will be canceled.
All persons scheduled with email will be confirmed for authenticity.
Please communicate clearly your intentions and wants for alterations or mending. Communication is key to success.
Please arrive to fittings clean and with or wearing appropriate undergarments.
Items presented for alterations should be clean and free of dirt or other soils. A $25.00 cleaning fee will be assessed to unclean garments.
Day Dreams does not guarantee items taken without inspection or fitting.
The ticket price listed is estimate only. Prices may be higher and you will be notified if this occurs.
Day Dreams reserves the right to refuse and/or cancel service at any time.
Additional charges will be assessed to the ticket for changes made after the initial alterations have been performed.
A $50.00 cancellation fee will be assessed for cancellations after the initial fitting has been performed, whether the item has been altered or not. Alterations performed and customer cancels will be assessed the $50.00 plus fee for alterations.
It is the customer's responsibility to review the sales slip for accuracy. Please review before you leave.
Day Dreams is not responsible for your children. There are toys available for the children; please ask if you need them during your visit.
A rush fee up to $40.00 can be charged by the owner at any time. Generally, the rule is 1-3 days $40.00; 4-7 days $25.00. Prices vary according to garment and alterations required.
Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrivals - call to let us know you are running late. If you do not call, you will be considered no call, no show and cancelled.
No garments are taken from the premises without full payment.
Custom Sewing and Bespoke orders require half of the cost for down payment. No refund of this is given in the event of the customer cancelling the order. All materials acquired by Day Dreams for the custom order are kept by Day Dreams.
Fittings will be canceled if the shoes and undergarments are not present. It is too risky to alter or tailor clothing without all necessary accessories being worn.
Day Dreams reserves the right to refuse checks at any time.
While this is a place of business, it is also a home. Please be respectful of the business and the time of the owner; we provide the highest in courtesy and respect toward all customers.
All work is guaranteed for accuracy and professional appearance. In the event of an error, mishap with garment or other, Day Dreams requires seeing the garment or item to assess the claim. Day Dreams will honor the guarantee as follows:
Rework the work performed until it is corrected;
If rework is not possible, a refund will be provided to the customer for the current market value of the item.
If rework is not possible on a custom order only the deposit will be refunded; whether partially or completely finished.
Day Dreams maintains a clean, safe and well ventilated environment. Therefore:
No smoking anywhere on the property.
All garments are maintained in a separate, well ventilated room.
All items are fully insured.
Every effort is given to provide a safe environment. Please assure children are watched or ask for toys for their entertainment.
Please remove your personal trash from the fitting room, or place in the trash recepticle in the room.
Please respect the cleanliness of the guest restroom.
These policies are not all inclusive. Day Dreams makes all efforts to maintain current policies and updates are announced on Face Book, Google +, and this website.
Custom Orders - Online or Local
Not all custom order requests are accepted. Custom orders are taken only after careful consideration to time involved, costs and projected outcome.
Custom crochet orders online or local will not be started until payment is made in full for the item. There are rare exceptions to this policy and Day Dreams reserves the right to determine what those exceptions are.
Day Dreams does not provide refunds for custom orders, whether sewn or crochet. See section below on cancellations/refunds.
Checks are not accepted for online ordering.
Complete addresses are required for shipping. Incomplete addresses may result in a delay or loss of your item.
Day Dreams does not ship outside of the continental United States.
Wedding Gowns Wedding Dress alterations require extra time and care. Because of this requirement, the following policies are set in place. Please read the download regarding fitting expectations.
Any alterations requests are assessed thoroughly before work is accepted by seamstress.
Extra charges are assessed for each addition or change requested by the Bride.
Extra charges are assessed for changes in size after initial fitting.
$75.00 Rush Fee is applied for dresses submitted 4 weeks and less prior to the wedding date.
Please notify by email or phone immediately if you are cancelling or changing an order. While it is possible to change an order, there are times when an item has already been started (with special order fabric or yarns) or shipped.
If you are changing an order, there will be extra charges assessed. The changes will not be made until the extra charge has been paid.
Due to the nature of specific colors and sizes, refunds are not possible! See the section below for information on store credit.
In the event you have cancelled your order or have ordered and not paid, after 30 days, Day Dreams reserves the right to sell the finished order at a lower price or submit the item for donation to a local charity. You will not be allowed to purchase the item at the reduced price.
Refunds on Handmade Gifts
Time to time something may go wrong, not fit quite right or not be the exact color you anticipated. Day Dreams fully understands these situations. Our policy is: I will work with you to correct the situation within my means. In store credit is given instead of refunds on all purchaseswithin 10 days of receipt of your purchase.
In the event you are dissatisfied with your item please contact Sher to talk about changes or corrections to your order. If, in the end you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can exchange for an item of equal value (in store credit) as long as you have made the request within the 10 days of receipt of your item.
If you are cancelling your order, there is no refund and all materials are retained by Day Dreams.
The cost and method of shipping is as important as the quality craftsmanship of your handmade item. All items are packaged with care and use of recyclable materials when they are available. The averaged base cost of shipping for USPS Priority Mail is $5.95 with increases in pricing dependent on the location of shipping and weight. Orders of more than one item will be shipped together when possible.
All items are shipped USPS.
Day Dreams has no control over shipping times; however, we will accommodate you much as possible with rush orders. Rush orders are priced at a substantially increased rate by shipping company.
We track our orders for delivery to assure they arrive on time and excellent condition.
Day Dreams insures all packages with carriers for replacement cost. If a shipment is verified as lost or damaged, your item will be replaced as soon as possible or your purchase refunded.
Most shipping times are 2-5 days to arrive to you, excluding Sundays and holidays.
