Alterations
The American (and world) economic situation is no secret. Consumer purchasing is difficult, and it seems particularly difficult to buy clothes that are the right fit. The simple answer to the clothing dilemma is a creative clothing fix.  Easier said than done? No - it's quite easy and for those who don't sew, there are plenty of new sew methods of creating a wardrobe or special piece to be proud of!
1.  No Sew Tools

These items are fairly common for no sew clothing fixes. Of course, if you prefer bling, you can add that too!
  • Iron and hard sturdy surface for pressing
  • Fusible Mending/Webbing Tape
  • Hot Glue Gun and glue sticks
  • Fabric Glue
  • Scrap Fabric
  • Old T-Shirts, Dress Shirts, Jeans
  • Accessories such as old jewelry, belts, scarves
  • Scissors
  • Seam Ripper or Blade
  • Awl and Wax Twine
  • Templates or Patterns for Appliques/Patches

2. No Sew Fixes

3. Minor Sewing Fixes

  • Decorative Hand Stitching
  • Crocheted or Purchased Borders/Edges
  • Decorative Patches
  • Beading/Beadwork

No Sew fixes are up to you - the creator and artist - on what and how you want to update your attire.  Make the updates fit your personality and style.  Personalize it with your flair!
