Reconnecting People To Their Dreams
A part of helping others rethink the plan in tough times is reconnecting people in our communities and working to provide a small bit of comfort to displaced men, women and children; those who are transient, homeless or need clothing and accessories to find viable work; those challenged with disorders and diseases who need hope and support. We all can learn from each other through sharing tips and how-to's in saving money and frugal living as well. You will find sharing and giving is a large part of Day Dreams. Who Is Day Dreams? Day Dreams is an independently owned and operated business that started from the need to change in late 2011. The owner (That's me over there --------->) is an educated and passionate woman with more than 40 years of experience and skills in: Design, Tailoring, Sewing, Crochet, Instructing, Repurposing and a lifetime of advocacy. Day Dreams provides artisan skills in handmade gifts and custom sewing, locally and nationally. A Mission & Vision for A Brighter Future Day Dreams is inspired by my dreams, my passions for serving others, being responsible for our environment, supporting our communities and teaching. My vision is to include you as a member of the community who shares a passion for serving others and making a change. My mission is to help you to rethink the plan and get back to basics of people helping people. I work to help others rethink the plan in these tough times through my blog, "Day Dreaming", reconnecting our communities through networking and working with you to look and feel your best with custom sewing & alterations. At times I will work with you or others who need to feel supported and cared for through Aware Bears TM, Wndows of Hope Quilts or lessons in sewing, DIY and more. Through the years I have found that sharing information, resources and connecting with each other is the best help a person can receive. "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime" (Chinese Proverb). I believe in helping each other and using our closest resources or swapping "How-To". I believe in volunteers and the valuable support they provide. I am a passionate advocate for teaching others how to help themselves and that includes connecting. Life experiences and the desire to help you rethink the plan are shared in Day Dreaming - my blog with topics such as, how to make do and mend, helpful budget and household resources, uses for household products, re-purposing your clothes and lessons on how to sew or crochet - or both, all saving you money in the long term with DIY (Do It Yourself). More than Meets the Eye... Patterns (purchase and free) are HERE, or visit any of the website pages for handmade gifts and Aware Bears TM. When I'm not busy saving the world one person at a time, I cherish working with custom orders in sewing or crochet. I invite you to take a few moments to look around my site and then email me for a FREE custom apparel consultation. It will be the best "Hello!" you've had all day! Wishing you a day filled with inspiration and success! Wishing You Success & Inspiration, Today & Always,
Sher "I work with the non-profit organization in Moline, Illinois named TPQC (The Project of the Quad Cities), and we are hosting our 20th annual Red Ribbon Dinner in January which is our largest and most talked about fund raiser of the year to raise critical funds for those infected/affected with HIV/Aids in our community. We contacted Sher of Day Dreams about her Aware Bears and she was nothin' but willing and over joyed to donate to the cause! Even better, we have had so many people ask about the first bear she donated, so we contacted her again, and she donated yet another bear and threw in a quilt with it! We are more than honored to work with Sher and we recommend you do the same! the work she does is awesome and she`s such a sweetheart! We`re excited about working with her again in the furture and we will always support her!" JG - Moline, IL |
